How to reach Messina
Messina is located in the north eastern side
of Sicily, one of the twenty regions of Italy.
From Catania (100 km): take the motorway A18 Catania-Messina exit at Messina Boccetta. Follow Viale Boccetta for 1.0 km.
From Palermo (230 km): take the motorway A20 Palermo-Messina exit at Messina Boccetta. Follow Viale Boccetta for 1.0 km.

Messina can be reached through the airports located in Catania, Reggio Calabria and Palermo.
- Catania Airport: directly linked to Messina with buses of the company
Sais Autolinee (1h45). Tickets can only be purchased either on the bus or at the kiosk outside the airport (no tickets can be purchased online).
On request, personalized shuttle service will be organized from Catania airport to

- Reggio Calabria Airport: take a bus to Reggio harbour and from there
reach Messina by hydrofoil.
- Palermo Airport: take a bus to Palermo Central Station,
then you have direct connections to Messina either by train (Trenitalia) or by bus (SAIS Autolinee).
