Conference Location

    The 2nd International Conference on Enhanced Spectroscopies (ICES 2015) will be held at the Palazzo della Cultura,viale Boccetta 373, Messina, Italy.

    The conference location can be reached from the city center by public transportation. Take the tramway n. 28 (timetable here) and stop at "Boccetta Canottieri" in Viale Vittorio Emanuele II. Turn on Viale Boccetta: 7 min. by walk (see map).



    How to reach Messina

    Messina is located in the north eastern side of Sicily, one of the twenty regions of Italy.

    By car

    From Catania (100 km): take the motorway A18 Catania-Messina exit at Messina Boccetta. Follow Viale Boccetta for 1.0 km.
    From Palermo (230 km): take the motorway A20 Palermo-Messina exit at Messina Boccetta. Follow Viale Boccetta for 1.0 km.

    By Train

    You can reach the Messina Centrale Station by railway. See the Trenitalia website for trip planning.

    By Airplane

    Messina can be reached through the airports located in Catania, Reggio Calabria and Palermo.

    - Catania Airport: directly linked to Messina with buses of the company Sais Autolinee (1h45). Tickets can only be purchased either on the bus or at the kiosk outside the airport (no tickets can be purchased online). On request, personalized shuttle service will be organized from Catania airport to Messina (and vice-versa). For information and costs, please contact our travel agency Moresca Viaggi

    - Reggio Calabria Airport: take a bus to Reggio harbour and from there reach Messina by hydrofoil.

    - Palermo Airport: take a bus to Palermo Central Station, then you have direct connections to Messina either by train (Trenitalia) or by bus (SAIS Autolinee).
